Art object for the II stage of the World Rowing Cup
The idea of creating a sculpture for the world championship which hasn’t been put into practice.
The famous Altai athlete’s kayak symbolizes both the boat and the river with other rowers as well. The pedestal of the sculpture resembles the sandy bottom of the Rowing Channel, where the competitions took place.
A stainless steel circle resembles the Sun. The concept of the athlete’s levitation on the mirror-like water surface is the central idea of this artwork. Drifting through the sky is like drifting on the water surface.
